Kevin and Colleen Coldridge were looking for a different lifestyle, one that would bring them closer to nature and fit their requirements to work towards their dreams. They found the perfect spot for their hide-a-way close to the forestry Southwest of Salmon Arm. BC.
Kevin and Colleen experimented with growing hardneck garlic starting in 2015. Success with this led to the official start of a farm business in 2017. Kelly Mountain Farm is currently focusing on value-added garlic products such as pickled garlic and freeze-dried garlic.
The Kelly Mountain Farm team is following all natural rules and know how important it is to grow using sustainable methods, be eco-friendly, with permaculture techniques in mind and growing crops in a holistic manner.
MEET THE TEAM
Kevin grew up in Ontario and was always drawn to nature. As a youth he camped and explored North America with his family. Kevin went on to further his career by attending Sir Sanford Fleming College graduating with two Forestry diploma’s. Along the way he has owned several business’ including a stained glass studio.
Colleen was raised in the Lower Fraser Valley on a small hobby farm. In the past Colleen has worked mostly in administration positions but has also spent time as a Chocolatier, loves cooking and tweaking recipes for her own personal touch. Always loving to dig in the dirt, Colleen feels like she has found her niche here at Kelly Mountain Farm.
Kevin and Colleen are both happy to have started a new chapter in their lives and welcome others to stop by and visit Kelly Mountain Farm when in the area.
2020 has brought the start of working towards part-time retirement, the two are now concentrating on improving their land and surroundings.
